引用推文: Joint Statement | Between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran The Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the two coastal states bordering the Strait of Hormuz, reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring safe passage through the Strait in accordance with the relevant provisions of international law, emphasizing their sovereignty and sovereign rights over their territorial waters in the Strait of Hormuz. The two sides also discussed matters related to the Strait in accordance with the provisions of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. The two sides agreed to continue dialogue on this matter through a joint working group between their respective foreign ministries, with the aim of reaching an agreement on the future management of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, the services to be provided in this regard, and the associated costs, in accordance with international standards. In this context, the two sides also agreed to hold discussions with the littoral states in the region and any other relevant parties. The two sides affirmed that all arrangements relating to the Strait of Hormuz must fully respect the sovereignty and sovereign rights of the two littoral states. The Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran also renewed their commitment to maintaining the Strait of Hormuz as a safe and open waterway for international navigation, and stressed the importance of continuing cooperation to enhance maritime safety, freedom of navigation and regional stability. #oott
